1
Data collected
- Encrypted DataFast API keys for each website the user connects.
- Site metadata returned by DataFast, including site name, domain, timezone, currency, and KPI display settings.
- Analytics and reporting data returned by DataFast, including visitors, sessions, bounce rate, session duration, revenue, conversion rate, top pages, referrers, trend data, and realtime visitor counts.
- Derived widget snapshot data used to power portfolio analytics widgets.
2
How the data is used
- Authenticate requests to the DataFast API for the sites the user chooses to connect.
- Render analytics widgets and keep them updated through scheduled syncs and manual refreshes.
- Support multi-site analytics views when the user adds more than one DataFast site.
3
Storage and retention
- DataFast API keys and connected site metadata are stored in encrypted extension settings inside Convex.
- Synced analytics data is stored in widget snapshots until it is overwritten by later syncs or removed with the extension.
- TrustPortfolio stores enough site metadata to identify which connected site each synced dataset belongs to.
4
Sharing
- TrustPortfolio sends the stored API keys to DataFast only to request the analytics data the user has authorized.
- Analytics summaries shown on a public portfolio may become public if the user adds DataFast widgets to public pages.
- DataFast-derived data is also processed by TrustPortfolio infrastructure providers that host the app, database, and analytics stack.
5
User controls
- Users can add DataFast sites, trigger syncs, or stop using the extension from the dashboard.
- Users decide which synced analytics widgets appear on their public portfolio.
- Users can revoke API keys from the DataFast side and remove the extension from TrustPortfolio to stop future syncs.
